ISLAMABAD, Apr 14 (Reuters) - Pakistan's parliament, dominated by President Pervez Musharraf's opponents, passed a resolution on Monday urging the government to allow a U.N. investigation into the killing of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Bhutto was killed in a gun and bomb attack in the city of Rawalpindi on Dec. 27 as she was coming out of an election rally.

Musharraf, whose allies suffered a crushing defeat in Feb. 18 elections, has previously opposed such demands by Bhutto's party.

The resolution, moved by Law Minister Farooq Naek, urged the government to approach the United Nations with a view to forming an "international investigation commission". (Reporting by Zeeshan Haider; Editing by Alex Richardson)
