Aug 3 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0900 GMT on Monday: HERAT - A roadside bomb killed at least 12 people, including a woman, a 12-year-old girl and two policemen and wounded 26 in the western Afghan city of Herat, a security official said. The Interior Ministry put the death toll at 10 and said 29 were wounded. BAGHLAN - Afghan police killed eight Taliban insurgents and wounded three more when the militants attacked a police checkpoint in the northern province of Baghlan on Sunday, the Interior Ministry said. HELMAND - Afghan and foreign soldiers killed five Taliban insurgents and wounded three more during clashes with the militants in Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province on Sunday, the Afghan Defence Ministry said. HELMAND - A roadside bomb killed two Afghan soldiers and wounded two more in Sangin district of Helmand province on Sunday, the Defence Ministry said. GHAZNI - A roadside bomb killed one Afghan civilian and wounded several others in Ab Band district of Ghazni province southwest of the capital, the provincial governor's spokesman, Ismail Jahangir said.
