Sept 27 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0930 GMT on Sunday:

HERAT - Afghan power and water minister survived a Taliban bomb strike on a road in the western city of Herat on Sunday n which least three civilians were killed and 16 more wounded, officials said.

FARAH - A roadside bomb killed five civilians in an area of western Farah province on Sunday, a provincial official said.

KUNDUZ - Afghan police killed seven Taliban guerrillas during a clash in northern Kunduz province on Saturday, the interior ministry said. One police was wounded in the clash.

* SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN - Two U.S. service members were killed in separate attacks in southern Afghanistan on Saturday, the NATO-led force said.

* SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN - A NATO service member died of wounds caused by a bomb attack in southern Afghanistan, the NATO-led force said.

AFGHANISTAN - Three French soldiers died in an accident during an overnight operation in Afghanistan, French President Nicolas Sarkzoy's office said on Sunday.

A military spokesman told France's I-Tele the three men died when their unit was hit by a violent storm, with one soldier struck by lightning and the two others swept away by a fast flowing river.

AFGHANISTAN - Afghan police foiled a series of bombs aimed at destroying bridges and other state facilities in several parts of the country, the ministry said.
