Two German journalists killed in Afghan attack

KABUL, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Unidentified gunmen shot and killed two German journalists travelling in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, Afghan officials said.

Police said the two, a man and woman, were working on a documentary.

"Two German civilians travelling overnight were shot dead by unidentified people," said Interior Ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary.

The two were travelling from Baghlan province to the central province of Bamiyan, the officials said.
