JAKARTA, Jan 11 (Reuters) - A body was found on Thursday floating in the same general area where a piece of Indonesia's missing airplane was located, police said.

"We found a female dead body in the south edge of Nusantara Port Pare Pare," police official Simon Benteng told Reuters by telephone from Pare Pare.

Earlier officials reported finding part of the tail of the missing plane 8 km (5 miles) south of Pare Pare. The Adam Air plane with 102 people on board disappeared in bad weather on Jan. 1.
