JAKARTA, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Indonesian troops are set to join a U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon this month, the country's ambassador to the United Nations said on Friday.

The Indonesian military has said a 125-member advance team will leave on Nov. 5, Rezlan Jenie, head of the Indonesian mission to the United Nations in New York, told reporters.

The main body comprising 725 soldiers will follow in late November.

Israel had initially objected to peacekeepers coming from nations not recognising the Jewish state, but later relaxed that stance. Indonesia has no diplomatic ties with Israel.

The U.N. force is being deployed in the south of Lebanon after a truce halted Israel's 34-day war with militant Islamic group Hezbollah on Aug. 14.
