Indonesian girl dies of bird flu - health ministry

JAKARTA, Jan 25 (Reuters) - A six year-old Indonesian girl who died on Jan. 19 had bird flu, an official at the health ministry said on Thursday, taking the country's death toll from the disease at 63.

"There has been another H5N1 fatality case, a six-year old girl from central Java. According to information, her neighbours had dead chickens," said Ahmad Priyatna of the ministry's bird flu information centre.

He said the victim died in a hospital in Yogyakarta.
