Report of Indonesian plane crash survivors unconfirmed

MAKASSAR, Indonesia, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Reports that 12 people survived the crash of an Adam Air passenger plane on Sulawesi island on Monday remain unconfirmed, Indonesia's transport minister said on Tuesday.

Transportation minister Hatta Radjasa said: "Regarding the 12 survivors, these are reports from villagers that we cannot yet confirm." The plane was carrying 96 passengers and six crew.
