JAKARTA, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Ten people, all but one of them teenagers, were killed in a stampede at a rock concert in Indonesia's Central Java province, police said on Wednesday.

The crush occured on Tuesday evening when thousands of fans jostled to leave the stadium at the end of the concert by popular band Ungu in the town of Pekalongan.

"It was too crowded and there were not enough exit doors," said Ngadino, a police officer from the district.

Similar deaths from stampedes have happened in recent years at concerts in Indonesia.
