Indonesia's Sumatra hit by quake, tsunami alert issued

JAKARTA, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Indonesia's meteorology agency said on Tuesday that an undersea earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale had hit southwestern Sumatra.

The agency issued a tsunami warning.
