June 17 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2045 GMT on Sunday:

* KIRKUK - A U.S. soldier was killed in an explosion in Kirkuk province on Saturday, the U.S. military said in a statement.

* BAGHDAD - Two U.S. soldiers were killed by an explosion near their vehicle in Baghdad province on Saturday, the U.S. military said in a statement.

BAIJI - Three policemen were killed and seven others wounded by a suicide car bomb which targeted recruits near the city of Baiji, 180 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed 10 suspected militants and detained 20 others during raids in Baghdad on Saturday and Sunday, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - The body of Filaih Wadi Mijthab, the managing editor of the state-run al-Sabah daily newspaper, has been found in Baghdad's Sadr City neighbourhood, his newspaper said. He was kidnapped on Wednesday.

NASIRIYA - Gunmen wounded a police commander and three of his guards in central Nasiriya, 375 km (235 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police and hospital sources said.

KIRKUK - A car bomb killed three people, including two Kurdish security force members, and wounded four other people in Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army has killed 10 suspected insurgents and arrested 79 others during operations in the last 24 hours in different parts of Iraq, the Defence Ministry said.

BAGHDAD - U.S. attack helicopters and Iraqi army forces killed four suspected insurgents and wounded three others during joint operations south of Baghdad on Friday, the U.S. military said on Sunday.
