KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Reuters) - A helicopter crashed in the South China Sea off Malaysia's eastern state of Sarawak on Tuesday, the Star newspaper's mobile phone message service said.

The fate of the 10 oil rig workers and two pilots aboard was not immediately known, but a search operation was under way, it added.
