BAGHDAD, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Forty-five people were killed in a bomb blast at a popular pet market in central Baghdad on Friday, police said.

Police initially said the blast was caused by a bomb hidden in a box of birds, but they later said it was a female suicide bomber who carried out the attack.
