May 2 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1415 GMT on Friday.

* BALAD-RUZ - Iraqi police arrested 75 suspected militants in the town of Balad-Ruz, in Iraq's volatile Diyala province, northeast of Baghdad, and recovered weapons and munitions.

MOSUL - The U.S. military said it killed four gunmen and detained 10 suspects in operations targeting al Qaeda around the city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, on Thursday and Friday.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military said it arrested three wanted al Qaeda members and another six suspects in different districts of Baghdad on Thursday and Friday.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military said a Predator aerial drone crashed in southern Iraq on Thursday. Mechanical failure was suspected but an investigation has been launched.

ARBIL - Turkish warplanes launched a series of air strikes overnight on Kurdish rebel bases near Iraq's northern Qandil mountains, Turkish officials and the rebels said. A rebel spokesman, Ahmed Danees, said there were no reports of any casualties.

DIYALA - The U.S. military said two suicide bombings in the town of Balad Ruz northeast of Baghdad on Thursday were carried out by a woman pretending to be pregnant and a male accomplice. The military said 29 people were killed and 52 wounded. Iraqi security sources put the death toll at 30, with 65 wounded.

BAGHDAD - U.S. forces said they killed two gunmen in two separate air strikes in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad on Thursday.

BAGHDAD - Clashes erupted overnight between U.S. forces and Mehdi army militants in al-Amil district in southwestern Baghdad. Four fighters were killed and 12 wounded, police said.

BAGHDAD - Seven people were killed and nine others were wounded in clashes overnight between U.S. forces and Mehdi army fighters in Sadr City, said Ali Bustan, head of the health directorate in eastern Baghdad.

DHULUIYA - U.S. and Iraqi forces battled al Qaeda militants in a village east of Dhuluiya in Salahuddin province on Thursday, police said. Four foreign fighters were killed and eight Iraqis arrested.
