MOSCOW, Oct 3 (Reuters) - The death toll from a fire at a business institute in Moscow climbed to nine on Wednesday, after three more people died overnight from their injuries, the Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported, quoting officials.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor of one of the buildings at the Institute of State and Corporate Management in the southeast of the city.

Nine hospitals in Moscow are still treating 51 people for injuries, Itar-Tass quoted the Emergency Ministry as saying.

Fire safety at public buildings across Russia has been criticised after a series of fires where fatalities were high because fire escapes were blocked.
