Nigerian militants free six foreign hostages

LAGOS, June 2 (Reuters) - Six foreign workers seized from a Nigerian oil facility operated by U.S. energy giant Chevron <CVX.N> on May 1 were all freed on Saturday, the rebel group that abducted them said.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) said the expatriates -- four Italians, an American and a Croat -- were handed over to the Bayelsa state government.

Flood victims put together the collapsed roof of their house in Pali town, about 384 km (238 miles) south of Jaipur in India's desert state of Rajasthan July 8, 2007. More than one lakh people have been evacuated and 25 lives lost in the flood-hit area, local media reported on Sunday.
