FACTBOX-Zimbabweans on draft sanctions resolution

July 8 (Reuters) - The Group of Eight rich nations agreed on Tuesday to impose targeted sanctions against Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's inner circle because of violence during his widely condemned re-election.

Below is a list of those named on the U.S. draft of a proposed United Nations sanctions resolution and the accusations made against the officials in that draft.

1. President Robert Mugabe

Accusation: Member/Head of Government responsible for activities that seriously undermine democracy, repress human rights and disrespect the rule of law.

2. General Constantine Chiwenga, Commander of Defence Forces

Accusation: Member of security forces who directed repressive state policy and has violated human rights.

3. Emmerson Mnangagwa, Rural Housing Minister

Accusation: Member of Government responsible for activities that seriously undermine democracy, repress human rights and disrespect the rule of law.

4. Gideon Gono, Central Bank Governor

Accusation: Reserve Bank Governor who is responsible for funding repressive state policies.

5. Augustine Chihuri, Commissioner of Police

Accusation: Member of security forces who bears wide responsibility for serious violations of the freedom of peaceful assembly.

6. Patrick Chinamasa, Justice Minister

Accusation: Member of Government responsible for activities that seriously undermine democracy, repress human rights and disrespect the rule of law.

7. Air Marshal Perence Shiri, Air Force Commander

Accusation: Member of security forces complicit in forming or directing oppressive state policy.

8. David Parirenyatwa, Health and Child Welfare Minister

Accusation: Member of Government responsible for activities that seriously undermine democracy, repress human rights and disrespect the rule of law.

9. Didymus Mutasa, Minister of State, National Security

Accusation: Member of Government responsible for activities that seriously undermine democracy, repress human rights and disrespect the rule of law.

10. George Charamba, Presidential Press Secretary

Accusation: Member of Government complicit in forming or directing oppressive state policy.

11. Maj.-Gen. Paradzi Zimondi, Head of Prisons Service

Accusation: Member of security forces complicit in forming oppressive state policy.

12. Happyton Bonyongwe, Director General, Central Intelligence Organisation

Accusation: Member of security forces complicit in forming or directing oppressive state policy
