BASRA, Iraq, April 3 (Reuters) - U.S. forces destroyed a house with an air strike late on Wednesday in Basra, the southern city which was scene of last week's major fighting between security forces and Shi'ite militiamen. A U.S. military spokesman said the strike, in support of Iraqi forces on the ground, "killed one enemy and destroyed a house". Iraqi police sources said at least three people died including a mother, father and child, and three were seriously wounded. Reuters television pictures showed the body of a woman in the rubble. Rescue workers were searching for other bodies. (Reporting by Aref Mohammed in Basra and Peter Graff in Baghdad; writing by Peter Graff)
