RABAT, March 3 (Reuters) - At least nine people were killed and 45 injured in northern Morocco on Saturday when a packed bus veered off the road and crashed into a mountainside, officials said.

Authorities said a mechanical failure may have caused the accident, which occurred in the rugged Jbel Bouhayati area near Khenifra, 300 km (180 miles) northwest of Rabat.
