KHARTOUM, June 3 (Reuters) - The United States is suspending a round of negotiations with Sudan because of the failure of northern and southern leaders to find a solution to a conflict that threatens a 2005 peace deal, the U.S. envoy to Sudan said on Tuesday.

"The U.S. is suspending talks with Sudan ... at this point the leadership of either side is not interested in meaningful peace. I won't be part of a sham peace that won't change the situation," Richard Williamson told reporters.
