JERUSALEM, May 4 (Reuters) - The Bush administration has drawn up a timetable setting dates for when Israeli and Palestinian leaders would complete steps meant to bolster prospects for peace talks.

Below are the key dates on the timetable, according to officials with access to the document:

* May 15: Israel eases restrictions to movement and access in the Jordan Valley, a key route for Palestinians in the West Bank

* May 15: Israel and the Palestinians provide EU monitors with consistent access to the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt for operations and training purposes, totaLling no less than five days per week.

* May 15: Israel and the Palestinians will designate special lanes at the Karni commercial crossing between Gaza and Israel for fresh produce with expedited procedures to allow quick flow of seasonal products out to Israel and international markets.

* June 1: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's security forces and the Israeli army form "joint coordinating cells" at the Kerem Shalom crossing between Gaza and Israel. Abbas's forces form similar cells with Egyptian forces at the Rafah crossing with Egypt to begin synchronisation of Gaza-Egypt border security.

* June 1: Israel removes restrictions and allows greater access and movement in parts of the West Bank towns of Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus and Tubas.

* June 1: Israel and the Palestinians establish initial commercial export operations at the Rafah crossing. Israel and the Palestinians establish a Gaza export level, consistent with demand, of 150 truckloads of goods per day.

* June 15: Israel adopts single-point cargo checks for all goods travelling through, into, and from the West Bank and Gaza. Israel removes checkpoints in the vicinity of Nablus.

* June 15: Abbas's security forces complete coordination with Israeli army and Egyptian forces, deploys and "stabilises the area between Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossing points".

* June 15: Abbas's security forces deploy and conduct counter-smuggling operations between Rafah and the Mediterranean coast, and begins to destroy tunnel networks.

* June 21: Abbas's national security adviser, Mohammad Dahlan, develops a plan to prevent rocket attacks against Israel and Abbas deploys his forces to implement the plan.

* July 1: Israel and the Palestinians establish a bus convoy service five days per week between Gaza and the West Bank.

* Aug 1: Israel and the Palestinians develop a plan to both expand bus convoys to the central and northern West Bank and establish a truck convoy system between Gaza and the West Bank.
