MOSCOW, Nov 4 (Reuters) - A fire in a home for the elderly killed five on Sunday and forced several hundred residents out of their home near Tula, 200km (120 miles) south of Moscow, the Russian Emergency Ministry told Russian news agencies.

Early reports said three were killed, but two more bodies were found after firefighters extinguished the blaze and inspected the two-storey brick building, RIA news agency said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, the Russian Emergency Ministry said.

In October at least nine students died and 51 were injured when a fire engulfed a Moscow business institute.

In December last year, 45 patients at a Moscow women's drug treatment clinic died in a fire. A fire in a retirement home in the Kuban region of southern Russia in March this year killed 62 residents and staff.
