June 4 (Reuters) - A Canadian officer was killed in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday when his foot patrol came under enemy fire, military officials said.

He was the 84th Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan since Ottawa sent troops to the country in late 2002.

Here are figures for foreign military deaths as a result of violence or accidents in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled:
