Explosion kills one at Russian military centre

MOSCOW, March 5 (Reuters) - An explosion killed a man at a Russian military research centre in the Siberian region of Altai on Monday, media reported.

Interfax quoted regional emergencies officials as saying the explosion destroyed part of the research centre in the town of Biisk and killed a senior worker.

It was unclear what caused the blast which occurred when researchers were testing new equipment.
