Turkish nightclub roof collapses, three dead

(Updates death toll, adds details) ISTANBUL, March 6 (Reuters) - Three people were killed on Tuesday when falling rocks crashed through the roof of a nightclub in a tourist resort in central Turkey, state-run Anatolian news agency reported. It said a rescue team had finished efforts to free people trapped in the rubble after the collapse early in the morning. Two people were injured. Local governor Asim Hacimustafaoglu said that at the time of the collapse only staff were in the disco, which stood at the foot of a rocky hill. Two cleaners and a pianist died. The incident occurred in the town of Urgup in the region of Cappadocia, renowned for unusual rock formations and rock-carved churches which are a popular attraction for tourists.
