Israeli guard shot and wounded in W.Bank - reports

JERUSALEM, May 6 (Reuters) - An Israeli security guard was shot and seriously wounded by unknown gunmen in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, emergency services and the army said. An army spokeswoman said the man was shot at from a passing car. Reports said he was a security guard accompanying the driver of a fuel tanker. Israel Radio said the man was taken to hospital near Tel Aviv after being hit in the head and the leg. The Magen David Adom ambulance service described the man's condition as serious. There was no immediate claim of responsibility by any Palestinian groups.
