Sept 6 (Reuters) - Two British soldiers were killed in Afghanistan on Wednesday when an explosion hit their vehicle during a patrol in the southern province of Helmand, the Ministry of Defence said.

More than 7,000 people have been killed during the past 19 months in Afghanistan, the bloodiest period since the resurgent Taliban's overthrow.
