Fatah al-Islam chief warns attacks on Lebanon army

DUBAI, Dec 7 (Reuters) - The leader of the Fatah al-Islam militant group threatened attacks against the Lebanese army after it crushed its militants in battles at a refugee camp in northern Lebanon last year. "This was only the beginning," a speaker identified as Shaker al-Abssi said in an audio recording posted on a Web site used by al Qaeda and other Islamist groups. The Lebanese public prosecutor has said DNA tests proved that Palestinian guerrilla Abssi was not among fighters killed by Lebanese troops at the Nahr al-Bared camp. Lebanese troops seized control of the camp on Sept. 2 and ended a 15-week battle that killed more than 400 people. (Reporting by Inal Ersan)
