WARSAW, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Polish President Lech Kaczynski was taken to hospital for a routine check-up, his office said on Wednesday.

"He will leave the hospital today," a statement by his spokesman said.

Polish media have speculated about Kaczynski's health since he took office in 2005, with medical issues forcing him to cancel some events, but his office has repeatedly denied he had any major health problems. (Writing by Natalia Reiter; Editing by Stephen Weeks)
