Six hurt in attack near U.S. Istanbul consulate-TV

ISTANBUL, July 9 (Reuters) - Six people were injured in an armed attack near the U.S. consulate in Istanbul on Wednesday, broadcaster CNN Turk reported.

It said an unknown assailant had shot at police near the consulate. No further details were immediately available. (Reporting by Daren Butler)
