Truck bomb in Iraq's Kurdistan kills 12, wounds 40

ARBIL, Iraq, May 9 (Reuters) - A truck bomb in the northern Iraqi city of Arbil on Wednesday killed 12 people and wounded 40, a Kurdish security official said.

First Lieutenant Mariwan Kareem, from the local security forces, said the truck had been packed with explosives. The bomb left a massive crater in the road, television pictures showed.
