MADRID, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Three Spanish air crew and a Belgian pilot held in Chad under charges they took part in an attempt to abduct 103 African children and fly them to Europe will be freed on Friday, a Spanish diplomat said.

Javier Nart, Spanish honorary consul to Chad, told Spanish state radio he was flying to the African country with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Bernardino Leon to pick up the air crew after their planned release by Chadian authorities. (Reporting by Andrew Hay; editing by Catherine Evans)
