MOSCOW, Dec 9 (Reuters) - A fire at a hospital in the Russian capital Moscow has killed 42 people, the Interfax news agency quoted Emergency Ministry officials as saying on Saturday.

It said the fire was at Drug Treatment Hospital No 17 in the southwest of the city. It gave no initial details of the cause.

In December last year seven people died when a fire broke out in the night at a hospital near Moscow treating people for nervous disorders.
