PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Unknown gunmen killed a member of Nigeria's navy who was helping to escort a boat carrying staff of Nigeria's natural gas export plant, a navy spokesman said on Monday.

A second attack occurred at around the same time in the same area on a security boat working for French oil company Total <TOTF.PA>. No one was killed in that incident, an oil industry source said. (Reporting by Austin Ekeinde; Editing by Jon Boyle)
