Israeli tanks enter southern Gaza Strip

GAZA, Dec 11 (Reuters) - About 30 Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles moved into the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, sparking clashes with Palestinians that killed three militants, medics and residents said. An Israeli army spokeswoman said about 10 tanks and armoured vehicles entered the Hamas-run territory as part of a routine operation against Palestinian militants. Two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded after an anti-tank missile was fired at their vehicle, she said. (Reporting by Nidal al-Mughrabi)
