LONDON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Production at ConocoPhillips' Murdoch gas platform off the coast of Britain has been shut down due to the threat of collision by a cargo ship adrift in the North Sea, a company spokeswoman said. "This is purely a precautionary measure," said the spokeswoman. She said the platform's usual production rate was 100 million cubic feet of gas per day.
