BUCHAREST, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Five people were killed and three were severely injured in Romania on Tuesday when a truck hit a funeral convoy near the Transylvanian city of Cluj, traffic police said.

The police said the 55-year-old truck driver drove too fast on wet roads and missed a turn, hitting the convoy.

"Five people were caught under the truck," colonel Dorin Ungur of the emergencies situations inspectorate in Cluj said.
