KHARTOUM, May 11 (Reuters) - Sudan ended a curfew in areas of Khartoum no longer affected by fighting after Darfur rebels attacked a western suburb, state television said on Sunday.

It said the curfew was lifted in the districts of Khartoum, Khartoum North and the centre of Omdurman.

Khartoum Governor Abdel Haleem al-Mutafi told Reuters the army was still operating in the outskirts of Omdurman, west of Khartoum, so the curfew would remain in place there. (Reporting by Opheera McDoom)
