VIENNA, June 12 (Reuters) - A fire in an asylum seekers' home in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt killed one man and injured 19 people, three seriously, on Thursday, the Red Cross said.

The man jumped out of the building's second storey to escape the blaze and died from his injuries in hospital, said a spokesman for the Red Cross in the southern provincial capital.

The fire in the building housing 37 asylum seekers, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa, started in the early morning, according to local media.

Police said they were investigating the cause.
