Dec 13 (Reuters) - Following are security and other developments in Iraq as of 1330 GMT on Wednesday:

* BAGHDAD - Several mortar rounds landed on a residential district and wounded 13 people, including two children and six women, in the western Adil district of Baghdad, police said.

* JURF AL-SAKAR - A roadside bomb killed one person and wounded three others when it exploded near the city council of Jurf al-Sakhar, about 85 km (53 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* BAGHDAD - A car bomb wounded two people when it exploded near al-Yarmouk hospital in western Baghdad, police said.

* NEAR BALAD - Gunmen attacked an Iraqi army check point and wounded four soldiers east of Balad, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

* BAGHDAD - U.S. forces detained five suspected insurgents on Monday in Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

BAGHDAD - A car bomb exploded in a crowded area of Kamaliya in eastern Baghdad, killing 10 people and wounding 25, an Interior Ministry source and police said.

BAGHDAD - Two car bombs exploded simultaneously in eastern Baghdad's religiously mixed New Baghdad district, killing five people and wounding 10, an Interior Ministry official said.

RIYADH -Two suicide bombers struck an Iraqi army base in the town of Riyadh, 60 km (40 miles) southwest of Kirkuk, killing seven soldiers and wounding 15, police said.

AL-HESNA - Gunmen stormed the house of a Shi'ite family and killed nine people, four men, two women and three children, in al-Hesna village, 35 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

NEAR FALLUJA - Police found the bodies of four people, shot and tortured, near the Sunni stronghold of Falluja, 50 km (25 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.

MAHMUDIYA - Police found the bodies of two people, shot and bound, in the town of Mahmudiya, in an area dubbed 'the Triangle of Death' south of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Police found a body with gunshot wounds in Kirkuk, police said.

TIKRIT - A roadside bomb killed three people on Tuesday travelling in a car in Tikrit, 175 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

ISKANDARIYA - A mortar round killed one person and wounded three others on Tuesday in Iskandariya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
