ZURICH, Nov 13 (Reuters) - A fire in a high-rise building in the Swiss capital of Berne early on Tuesday left 22 injured, 4 seriously, according to a media report.

Firefighters received an alarm around midnight that an apartment on the fourth floor of the building was in flames, said Swiss news agency SDA. Residents who tried to flee were trapped in a smoke-filled stairwell, the report said.

More than 20 residents were rescued.

The fire department declined to comment. (Reporting by Thomas Atkins; Editing by Stephen Weeks)
