Aug 14 (Reuters) - France's Reunion island wants renewable energy to fuel 100 percent of its electricity by 2025 and all its transport by 2050. Here are some key facts about Reunion.

* It has a rapidly growing population of 763,000 people which is expected to hit more than 1 million by 2030. The island has a surface area of 2,500 sq km, but most people live near the coast.
