GAZA, Dec 15 (Reuters) - The ruling Hamas faction accused forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah of trying to assassinate Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, and called on Friday for Abbas to remove the forces from the streets. Hamas spokesman Ismail Rudwan singled out by name a top Fatah official and lawmaker with close ties to Abbas as being behind the shooting attack on Thursday on Haniyeh's convoy outside the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt. Rudwan offered no evidence of the Fatah official's involvement.
