(Adds details) ARBIL, Iraq, Nov 15 (Reuters) - A senior Iraqi border guards officer said on Thursday there were no signs Turkey had launched a cross-border operation into northern Iraq against separatist Kurdish rebels. "There has been no Turkish incursion into Iraq, although there are many Turkish troops massed on the Turkish side of the border," the officer, who declined to be identified, told Reuters. Over the past weeks, Turkey has amassed as many as 100,000 troops, backed by warplanes, helicopters and tanks, for a possible cross-border incursion to root out the rebels, blamed by Ankara for a series of attacks on its security personnel. Fouad Hussain, head of the office of Iraqi Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani, said there had been no Turkish bombing of the border area but he had no other details. A government official in Baghdad said he was not aware of any Turkish operation.
