ALMATY, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Two Kazakh military officers were killed on Saturday when their fighter jet crashed on landing in the city of Karaganda, a military source told Reuters.

"A captain and a major died when the plane crashed approaching Karaganda after a training flight," the source said.

He said the plane was a MiG-31B fighter jet, but gave no further details about what might have caused the crash.

Karaganda, in central Kazakhstan, is about 200 km (125 miles) southeast of the Central Asian country's capital, Astana.
