JENIN, West Bank, April 17 (Reuters) - Israeli troops killed a Palestinian teenager on Thursday during a raid into the occupied West Bank, local residents and Palestinian security officials said.

The officials said the 16-year-old boy was shot by Israeli troops during an exchange of fire, as they surrounded a house where Islamic Jihad militants were held up in the Kabatiya refugee camp near the city of Jenin.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was checking the report.
