BISHKEK, April 19 (Reuters) - Police in ex-Soviet Kyrgyzstan used tear gas on Thursday to disperse a crowd of opposition supporters that had tried to break through into the government headquarters, a Reuters reporter at the scene said. Riot police came out into the square where about 1,500 protesters were demanding the resignation of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. Three bangs were heard and then clouds of teargas spread out, sending protesters running, said the reporter.
