81 killed in Mogadishu violence since Sat-activist

MOGADISHU, April 20 (Reuters) - Clashes between insurgents and allied Somali-Ethiopian troops have killed 81 people in Mogadishu since Saturday, a prominent local human rights group said on Sunday.

"Eighty-one people were killed and 119 more were wounded in the violence in Mogadishu since Saturday," the chairman of the Elman Peace and Human Rights Organisation, Sudan Ali Ahmed, told Reuters by telephone. (Reporting by Aweys Yusuf)
