TBILISI, April 20 (Reuters) - Georgia's Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli has undergone a successful heart operation in a clinic in Houston, Texas, Georgian television reported on Friday. "One of his heart mitral valves has been substituted during the operation. The operation lasted about eight hours. The patient feels all right and the doctors are satisfied," Georgy Zurabashvili, a member of Nogaideli's delegation, told Georgian television. Nogaideli, 42, went to the United States for a week-long official visit this month to meet White House and State Department officials. After feeling unwell, he took medical tests and was advised to undergo an operation. Zurabashvili said the prime minister would be moved from intensive care to a ward in two to three days. "The doctors say rehabilitation may take about 12 days ... The prime minister will come back to Georgia at the beginning of May and will resume his duties soon after that," he said.
