SANAA, March 22 (Reuters) - A fire in a fuel station set a nearby hotel ablaze in the Yemeni capital on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said, without saying if anyone was hurt.

Residents said they heard a loud explosion around the same time, but a ministry statement said that was caused by a plane breaking the sound barrier.

Police cordoned off the area, residents said. (Reporting by Mohamed Sudam)
